My weekly ANGRY status upgrade 2!

(P.S: This is my blog and I can rant what I want here ! If you don't like what you see, please SCRAM off ! )

This week is pretty much the busy and boringly same except i had the doubtful feeling am I really the Final Year student ? Cos I am really busy to do any follow up on my project ! ! !

Right now, I got Computer Architecture to do "Bus Implementation" VHDL implementation on Quartus II , DSP to study the Scilab (MATLAB ala-free clones) command , OS to study Linux shell programming and and   . . . Microwave need to learn Agilent Design System some more !!! Damn ! ! ! 4 core subject and 1 FYP some more !

And did I need to mention that we need to take Electric Circuit II and Engineering Management this semester ? Don't make me blurt out the vulgar language ....  and I havn't take my last wajib course yet.. the useless Hubungan Etnik !

Don't tell me all the damn story of bull crap of the "Producing the holistic engineers!" . I am fed up with your endless lies and cover up and your same old lies of how-wonderful-the-Perlis is for more than 3 years already !

It makes me a bit angry about my uni, if you want to do something .
Please do it gradually bit by bit and not all at once ! ! !

(P.S: Dear Mom, If I failed any of subject this sem , don't blame your idiotic son and cut off my allowance T_T)

Back on my FYP, I got a quite-ok Supervisor for my FYP, but due to his  extreme workload ( He is the  secondary head of our school !) , I voluntarily reassigned to another supervisor. Now from my 2 weeks of studying UWB and LTE, I need to forget all of them and concentrate on the Java, PHP and MYSQL programming. Heard from brief discussion that day that senior successfully implemented it. Hopefully, can make my job easier a bit !

Well, my new FYP title will be much like a LAN viewer of the network which can monitor the bandwidth and such . . . But it must be on Linux, so I decide my Linux platform on Ubuntu Server Edition unless there are some other distribution that are more network setup friendly.

Hmm ... It's a bit late now.. Gotta z Z  ....

There is two sides to everything !

Here is the proof !

Ponder it , my friends !

That is all... Basically just busy doing literature review !

My Final Year Project

Hohoho .. Another week had passed . . . So fast the 1 week had gone... Now I am in final year only means 1 thing, Final Year Project !

Basically, if my FYP is a successful endeavor, it will looks like something like this. Apart from big exaggeration.

Hehehe ... It is the real deal (if it is successfully implemented!) ... Mobile computing stuffs ! It means , I need to relearn C , C++ , MATLAB and Simulink and also know a bit about LTE (Long Term Evolution) and also UWB (Ultra Wide Bandwidth!) not currently in Malaysia as yet

and ...

also the final year is suppose the only year where we as Final Year can shake leg a bit and take life easy, right! Hell no ! Thanks to the "scandal exposure" by a certain gossip newspaper, my university rushing to rectify the problems that had long been stranded by 8 years , to get the course accredited by BEM (Board of Engineering Malaysia). Heck, although our course is one of the accredidated but hell no , we need to take about 26 credit hour ! Yup , the freaking TWENTY - SIX credit hour ! But fortunately, we can drop the "extra but not so usable" course. But I take twenty two credit hours which is also WAY too much for a final year students !

Oh and by the way, one of the main reasons that I didn't log in to Internet for 8 days because there are some er... storm, hurricane, typhoon,twister,tornadoes,cyclone or whatever the big wind that come to blow up my new student residence at KKD , Kampung Wai for the study week 1 !!! :( Praise God that my home did not hit by the wind but my next door neighbour hit with minor damages and also there are no one injured or unlucky caught in hurricane.

To show you the damage, please don't be frightened, it is real... Unimaginable that it happens in the boring place like Perlis.

This is one of the worst house hit by the "cyclone" !

Praise God ! Nothing happened to my hostel !

Even a sturdy door are blown away !

Roof crashing down ! That motor which is parked there is really lucky !

Roof fragments stuck on the electric post ! Danger !

Even the non smoking signs from other Kolej Kediaman are blown here and notice the black door? Yep, they are also blown too ...

Even the flags are not spared !

But to those who are victims, I heard that they can claim RM 500 for compensation claims and also replacement for HP, Laptop, Printer if they are water damaged and unusable !
Luckily , now is the beginning of semester not the mid or end ! Fuh , imagine if it happened later this semester .....

I upload only some of it due to the slowness of my uni "broadband!"

Thats it for now and I think I might do weekly updates to blog due to time constraint.

My so so and so random thought . . .

(1)     The evolution of Pokemon ! Erm by the way, Chamillionaire songs are not to my taste ... :(
 Youtube does recommend the best songs on the top list right ?

(2)     Hmm ... Kinda miss my hometown a bit for now .

(3)     Although they are a bit far from my friends place, I kinda miss the companionship and fun and DotA sessions with some of the Electrical and Micro mateys . However, the few DotA sessions with Comp & Comm mateys are not quite bad also. They seems to improve a bit from last few semesters

(4)      Kinda miss of someone &(*_* )& or something but don't know what is it yet

(5)     Suspension is killing me . . . Will someone tell us when FYP title is coming out ?

(6)     Miss bowling and snooker sessions with friends . Hey, Kangar got Bowling Centers in The Store and the Snooker Center near the Store too. . .

(7)     I maybe want to upgrade my ori Window Vista to Win 7 Ultimate later this year . . .

(8)     Learnt an important lessons of all. Don't be like someone by the code of Liquid Gas Zone who is chivalrously lent to other people and return the things spoil.

(9)     Hmm.. my practical supervisor from what I heard is heart broken, hopefully she can recover from heart break fast yor...cos she is one of the brilliant engineer in company and many people too need her help. :)

That's all for now.

In God We Trust . . .

When the idea is not right, God says "No"

"No" - When the idea is not the best
"No" - When the idea is absolutely wrong
"No" - When though it may help you, it could create problems for someone else

When the time is not right, God says "Slow"
What a catastrophe it would be if  God answer every prayer at the snap of your fingers. Do you know what would happen?
God would become your servant, not your master.
Suddenly, God would be working for you instead of you working for God

Remember: God's delay are not God's denials.
                   God's timing is perfect.
                   Patience is what we need in prayer

When you are not right, God says "Grow !"

The selfish person had to grow in unselfishness.
The cautious person must grow courage
The timid person must grow in confidence
The dominating person must grow in sensitivity
The critical person must grow in tolerance
The negative person must grow in positive attitude
The pleasure seeking person must grow in compassion for suffering people

When everything is alright, God says "Go !"
Then miracles happens:

A hopeless alcoholic is set free
A drug addict finds release
A doubter becomes a child in his belief
Diseased tissues respond to treatment and healing begins
The door to your dream suddenly swings open and there stands God says : "Go !"

Remember, God is love . :)

Back to Unimap for the final year. . .

Back from my Industrial Training, now I am back to Perlis (UniMap) with 1 more year to go . . . This usually means that everything that I am comfortable with during in Penang will become more slower in Perlis . And I am *forced* to abandon my sweet sweet home of my 3 years in Wang Ulu into Kampung Wai which is situated near Kuala Perlis.

Yup. . . Perlis is perhaps the only state in Malaysia where time is relative slower. . .

Why I am saying like this ?

Well . . .

1.
If you order food such as Nasi Goreng, prepare to wait at least 1 hour ; yes you heard me right, 1 HOUR to wait for food to be served at you and it is not the peak time yet (aka 4pm in Wang Ulu certain cafeteria)

2.
Internet speed in campus is much more slower compared to P1 and damn P1 don't have any coverage on Kuala Perlis either ... I hate you P1 for not provide coverage in Perlis but I love your ultra blazing speed . . .

 3.
The pure breed Perlis people drive really slowly especially the car registration plate number starting with letter"R". I just don't know why... Driving 40km/h on empty wide road

4.
Speaking of it, I found that time passes really slowly in lectures hall compared when I was at home. Holiday flies so fast, don't you agree ?

Today enter the class , just bombarded and ulti-ed with every skills you imagine in DSP class. Digital Signal Processing class is basically mind boggling with the intro of long forgotten of Signal & System subject and now we need to abandon Matlab in favour of Scilab which is basically the free version of Matlab. I hope their programming syntax is the same. . .

Later is Operating System class with Dr.Ong software technical skills . Hmm ... I need to relearn C and the Java again ... Haiz... Need to relearn again, not including the  coming

Microwave Communication (Hopefully is almost similiar what I exposed in internship!)

Computer Architecture (Hmm .. I just pray hard it isn't another MicroP or MicroC nightmare)

Final Year Project (My salvation if I get the title I wanted with the SV who is kind enough to give high marks ! :P)

That's all for today and I need to ~~~ recap~~~ all the bla bla stuffs in the DSP class just now.
Chiao ...

Bye bye holiday, hello study sems

Haha ... My holiday seems to be coming to an end and now I shall be out to pia chek (study hard) .

Here, I enclosed some of my favourite websites which are blocked by my university firewall !

1. Youtube

Youtube

Reasons of blocking: Possibly it is the bandwidth intensive sucker in Unimap broadband line. Also, there are possibility of the political reasons to barred the access to Youtube !

2. Facebook

Reasons of blocking: Who knows ? Facebook is now widely used social networking platform with 50 M users, heck even our Vice Chancellor uses it. But usually, Facebook is one of the good place to spread the gossips around and the facebooking is also one of the time consuming activities too...

3. Kongregate

Reason of blocking: Basically, we can play thousands of flash games for free ! We just need to see the ads in the game loading. That's all ! And also with achievements and points too . . . But just like any casual game, they are definitely time consuming activities. Possibly, they don't want us to hog down the bandwidth to play flash games.

That's all, I hate to leave you guys but it is for the good of all of us !

My feeling regarding Final Year Project.

This is truly what I feel when doing a programming ! If I got an assignment in programming, this is what I would feels . . .

By the way, my new semester starts around the corner and I won't be able to update blogs as often as I could . . .

Exam's funniest masterpiece !

Recently, my stint of a substitute of temporary teacher in certain primary school in Batu Pahat for 1 week had stumbled me ... I can't believe that kids nowadays is a way pawner than their teacher. It is no wonder that teacher nowadays had stress , it is because to the damn damn naughty and cunning students !!!

Now, I presents you the seldom see before, the answer is right in an own way but they are damn hilarious in its own.

Q: A child swallows a cleaning product, why milk is often given ?
A: to make them happy before they die

Erm.. make sure you double check your time table before the test so that you answer the correct answer in the exam .

Another case of mistaken subject studied for the test. You should suppose study Maths not ICT literacy.

It is correct though . . . On it's own way.

If you can't answer the questions, remake the questions

The vulgarity is unaccepted. 5 points off ...

Hahaha... You had the wrong beer law. Although the equations is correct.
Human + Beer = Alcoholic

There are 2 ways of begging extra credits in test. 1 is soft way and 1 is hard way... Try to guess which approach is better to get better marks in test ?

Soft way.

Notes: This is the less retarded style of answering test question . :D  It put a big smile on any teacher and (s)he got an uncluttered handwritings ... lol (Plus (s)he got +1 marks)

Hard way.

To those who had hard time reading it:
This penguin and I are both sorry to tell you that unless I get a 100% score on this test, the evil fire breathing dinosaur will eat this penguin, who is the last of his kind.  So I leave his life on your hands. I'm sure you will make the correct decision.
P.S: If the dinosaur eats him, it will be very slow and the cute penguin will be in untolerable pain.

 Just hang the penguins! Who cares.

Hard way 2
Notes: Using terrorist ransom method is usually met with failure.

Terrorist: Give the man bonus point or the stick figures get it! !
Hostage: Please do what he says

Teacher: I don't negotiate with terrorists.

I like the response by the teacher. Slick moves !!!

Not related to test directly but this is to sketch a bit of lecturer face who likes to fail the students - Real life Shinigami Lecturer

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you don't know what to do, just summon Charlizard to burn up your equations which is suppose to be super effective. Unless your teacher summon Blastoise to hydro pump your Charlizard! Epic Pokemon battle !
It may be accepted in Bible Knowledge studies but for Inorganic Chemistry subject, this is no good at all ! Unacceptable !
Poor things ... do calculus until this rate will surely prompt him to suicide.
This is one of the reasons why the students must do the exam in full stomach.
Proof that this student did not study for his trigonometry last night and instead watch Pirates of Caribbean 3: At World's End ! :P
Another student who didn't study the matrix for the last night and ends up drawing the strip cartoon of Matrix! He should take the blue pill instead ! :P
Another students , who is watching SpongeBob square pants The Movies due before the examination! Damn the kids ! Why don't they study before the test ?
The answer is correct (depending who you ask) but hey... isn't the opposite of pro is noob ? Erm.. I mean anti !
0.0 Just look at the bottom answer if you aren't interested in the bible study part !
The answer is correct, just the additions of dinosaur make it funny. Perhaps it is the way of student memorizing the mathematics.
Erm... I think the students better return the OCR paper to the examiner. Better retake the exam next time.
This student must have common sense of humour !
And this is the last one . "Drawing" Mashimaro on OMR sheets plus with the toilet plunger that can plop on its head one ! :D
:D Seeing this all sorts of funny answer really makes me my day ! :D Enjoy it folks !
Apocalypse Man : Survival Technique Analyzed [ Part 2 ]
Hi all. Just back for more analysis of the Apocalypse Man shows...
13. Go to the hospital to utilize power generator
R.R argument: As in apocalypse, the survivors may loot the hospital for the medicine, equipment and medicine tools but they tend to overlook one major stuffs and that is back up power generator. You can also make some electricity to charge your battery and power up the surveillance equipment. By the way, switch off the main switch before turning on the generator.
STOP: Just as any other necessity, power is also vital in survivability. But hospital is definitely not the anyone first idea in mind in looking places with electricity. With the ability to make your own power, you will increase your survival factor. But there is a limiting factor, where to find the fuel for the power generator. It is really a great idea actually to be able to make your own power and the hospital isn't just anyone idea to go to generate electricity.
14. Use the bicycle pump, long tube, duct tape and metal can to siphon any remaining diesel.
R.R arguments: In America, there are only about 5% of vehicles that uses diesel. So the 95% of populations already took most of the gasoline during the chaos. By properly taping the connections between the tube and the bicycle pump, you can turn the bicycle pump into a huge syringe and make sure you find a long tube which got no cracks along the tube.
STOP: In Armageddon, you need to be creative in turning the every day items into the survival gear that can help in your survive the day. By the way, in Malaysia case, it is pretty true though as most cars I see on the road are petroleum fueled. The only vehicles that are diesel fueled in Malaysia are lorry and bus.
15. If possible, you can make safe room in the security office
R.R arguments: with power back on, look out for security offices to be made into safe room that comes with a bonus: Being able to monitor the buildings entrances and exit using CCTV.
STOP: This is the perfect base if there are still got some undamaged television left to display the CCTV recordings. Being able to monitor your surrounding is good as you can anticipate the intruders that enter your domain and take them down by surprise.
16. Collect fresh rainwater from the rain catchment area in the roof for some supply of fresh water.
R.R argument: Just take an metal cup and the clean siphon ( Separate the one that is used in extracting diesel ! ). Remember to boil the water before consuming it.
STOP: The rain catchment area is a great source for fresh water as it is contaminated the least. However, there are a few factors to consider such as bird dropping, dusts, cobwebs and also mosquito larvae which will contaminate the water. Beside boiling it, take a rags clothes to filter these out before boiling it to minimize the risk of catching diarrhoea. Apart from that, what choices that we had ?
17. You can find valuable equipment for communications in run down taxi camp
R.R arguments:  From what he shows, we can find dry cell 12 V (Alkaline batteries), tape recorder, CB radio ( make sure that it is working! ), step down attenuator,jumper, long cable wires and of course, the magnetic mount antenna.
STOP: It is true that CB radio is used widely in America but however it may found little uses in Malaysia. The only things I see in Malaysia taxi camp are chessboard, coffee maker and radio (Not CB !) However,  don't give up as there are places that may provide CB communications such as prisons, police stations, fire stations or any emergency services.
18. Go to the highest building as you can and assemble your short wave communicator
R.R arguments: The highest building can provide Line of Sight for waves up to 6km. That may not sound much but it provides up to 113km square of coverage area. Turn to Channel 9 (27.065 MHz) which is a specially allocated channel for the emergencies. Attach the antenna in the highest possible places to avoid signal blockade. One other things is you mustn't give up hope in idea that no one is listening to you as they may had but they don't have a mean to reply back.  State your name, status and your intended next to go places which will feature a prominent landmark such as a bridge, intersections of railroad and car road and such. In Katrina disaster, a batch of Citizen Band hobbyist came to the disaster struck area to help authorities with the search & rescue operations.
STOP: It is a good idea to send the messages across to get some help or even some valuable companionship. However, you must have some basic understanding of RF (Radio Frequency) to even knowing the basic of the CB radio's components. Basically, it is easier to setup connections for most of the modern CB radio's components, just 2 ports (1 port for signals and 1 port for power supply). Just 1 short point to notes, if channel 9 doesn't give response, try the channel 14 (27.125 MHz) which is the frequency band for most type of walkie talkie or to other channel but you must states your intentions before going to other channel to let other keep track to you.
That is all for this part of the Apocalypse Man: Survival tactics analyzed. Hope you enjoyed reading the article.
